Due to the COVID-19 situation, can I postpone my lessons?
[Updated on 19/3/20]
As all of our classes are in small sizes, we have no intention of postponing lessons until further notice. Rest assured, our teachers are taking all the necessary precautions before and after any lessons. None of them have been travelling and there's also no intention of travel.
Upon request, we may be able to switch your lessons to online lessons until the end of April 2020. Please contact us if you have any concerns.
How long are lessons?
Music lessons are typically 45mins long for optimal learning time. However, all classes range between 30-60mins.
Tuition classes for Primary school are 45mins, while Secondary classes are 90mins. (While these are the recommended durations for lessons, we are flexible on a case-by-case basis.)
What should I prepare for lessons?
- Water bottle
- A4 Clear Folder with Pockets
- Any other books used for class
- An open mind!
How and when do I pay for the lessons?
Course Fees payment is preferred via PayNow/PayLah to 81276117 or in cash.
Bundle lessons are to be paid upfront in full before the commencement of each 10 lessons. (Your teacher will remind you before every payment is due.)
For Trial/Ad-Hoc Lessons, please make the payments before or at the start of the lesson.
How often should I come for lessons?
The minimum recommendation is once a week! However, depending on your goals, it is possible to meet twice a week as well.
Ukuleles are available for free rent during your trial lesson if you are still unsure about you or your child's interest. Afterwhich, you will need to purchase one for your own use and practice. Plus, you would be much more motivated to play if you have your own ukulele! We can recommend and advise on which kind and where to buy one depending on your preferences and budget. :)
What lesson materials will be provided? Are they free?
For both Music & Tuition classes, we provide a lot of material including any requests to be put into your A4 folder with no additional charges!
From time to time, your teacher may purchase additional published books/worksheets for you to further compliment your lessons. You will only need to pay the COST PRICE while saving the hassle of having to find or order them by yourself.
Will my lesson be forfeited if I can't make it for any lessons?
Classes are flexible and can be postponed up to two weeks at a time upon request. However, we highly encourage at least 1 lesson per week to maintain student motivation!
We will require a 24h notice if a scheduled lesson needs to be rescheduled, with the exception of illness on that occurs on the day of lessons. If we are not notified at least 3h (for morning classes) or 5h (for afternoon/evening classes), the lesson will be forfeited.
For GROUP Classes, it may still commence but there will not be any extra make-up lessons for the student who misses it.
In the rare event the teacher is unable to make the scheduled lesson, a make-up class will be scheduled. If your teacher has to be away for more than 2 weeks, a relief teacher may teach in their place so lessons can continue.
Note: Long-term students need to notify us at least 2 weeks ahead of time if needing a break from lessons due to exams/work/travel/etc. in order for us to keep your class time slot, and to arrange for any make-up classes before your break.
