frequently asked questions & studio policies

Q.

When will the in-person lessons be available?

A.

[Updated on 11/3/2022]

All in-person classes have resumed while following Singapore's most updated COVID-19 guidelines.

On another note, after over 2 years of conducting lessons online with existing students, we have since launched NEW CLASSES that are fully online and available to students WORLDWIDE! (As long as timezones permit us to schedule a class) We are confident to provide you with quality music lessons via online video platforms. If you would like to speak to us to find out more, we are happy to speak to you via video chat to answer any concerns you may have. Contact us!

Q.

How long are lessons?

A.

Music lessons are typically 45mins long for optimal learning time. However, all classes range between 30-60mins depending on the students and class type.

Q.

Do I need my own instrument(s) for the trial lesson?

A.

For all online ukulele lessons, you will need your own ukulele. Please either purchase or borrow one from a friend.

Ukuleles/Guitars are available for *free rent during your in-person trial lesson if you are still unsure about you or your child's interest. Afterwhich, you will need to purchase one for your own use and practice. Plus, you would be much more motivated to play if you have your own ukulele/guitar!

We can recommend and advise on which kind and where to buy one depending on your preferences and budget. :)

For piano lessons at your home, you will need your own piano/keyboard for the class.

Q.

What lesson materials will be provided? Are they free?

A.

For all Music classes, we provide a lot of material including any requests to be put into your A4 folder with no additional charges!

From time to time, your teacher may purchase additional published books/worksheets for you to further compliment your lessons. You will only need to pay the COST PRICE while saving the hassle of having to find or order them by yourself.

*Since moving classes online, you may be required to order books by yourself, but your teacher will let you know well ahead of time so you can buy it.

Q.

How often should I come for lessons?

A.

The minimum recommendation is once a week! However, depending on your goals, it is possible to meet twice a week as well.

Q.

Where are you located?

A.

370H Alexandra Road

A.

- Stationary

- Notebook

- Water bottle

- A4 Clear Folder with Pockets

Q.

How and when do I pay for the lessons?

A.

Course Fees payment is preferred via PayNow/PayLah/Gpay to 81276117 or in cash for students based in SINGAPORE.

For International students, payment is to be made via PayPal.

Bundle lessons are to be paid upfront in full before the commencement of each 10 lessons. (Your teacher will remind you before every payment is due.)

For Trial/Ad-Hoc Lessons, please make the payment before the start of the lesson.

Q.

Will my lesson be forfeited if I can't make it for any lessons?

A.

Classes are flexible and can be postponed up to two weeks at a time upon request. However, we highly encourage at least 1 lesson per week to maintain student motivation!

We will require a 24h notice if a scheduled lesson needs to be rescheduled, with the exception of illness on that occurs on the day of lessons. If we are not notified at least 3h (for morning classes) or 5h (for afternoon/evening classes), the lesson will be forfeited.

For GROUP Classes, it may still commence but there will not be any extra make-up lessons for the student who misses it.

In the rare event the teacher is unable to make the scheduled lesson, a make-up class will be scheduled. If your teacher has to be away for more than 2 weeks, a relief teacher may teach in their place so lessons can continue.

Note: Long-term students need to notify us at least 2 weeks ahead of time if needing a break from lessons due to exams/work/travel/etc. in order for us to keep your class time slot, and to arrange for any make-up classes before your break.
